Overtown’s “Block 19” site purchased by trio of Miami-based Developers

A trio of Miami-based developers purchased the development site where Nichols Architects designed “Block 19”.
RNG Overtown LLC, managed by Mitchell Newman in Morganville, New Jersey, sold 1.5 acres at 105 to 113 N.W. 11th Terrace plus 1129 to 1159 N.W. First Court, also known as “Block 19.” The buyers were Lion Development, led by Michael Simkins; Property Markets Group, led by Ryan Shear; and Lndmrk Development, led by Alex Karakhanian.
In early 2023, RNG Overtown filed plans for a 25-story apartment project designed by Nichols Architects totaling 606,942 square feet, featuring 413 apartments, 23,000 square feet of retail and 505 parking spaces. There would be an amenity/pool deck on the seventh floor and rooftop amenities on both towers.
