The 53-story Miami World Tower continues to make progress as it moves closer to completion, new photos by Phillip Pessar show.

The tower topped off over the summer at 579 feet above ground, or 590 feet above sea level.
Also over the summer, developer Lalezarian filed plans for three additional towers with another 2,043 multifamily residential units.
Miami World Tower 1 is now among the tallest rental apartment buildings in the city.
