Boutique hotel collection EDITION, founded by Ian Schrager in partnership with Marriott International, has 10 chic hotels around the world with 13 more to be completed by 2023. Known for its sexy and sophisticated design, incredible bars and restaurants and wonderful amenities, EDITION properties are in gateway cities across the world.

In 2021, The Tampa EDITION will open in the lively Water Street Tampa neighborhood, making this the second EDITION hotel in Florida and Tampa’s first-ever five-star luxury hotel-branded residential development. It is also the third EDITION Residences in the world. The hotel and condo building will have 172 hotel rooms and 37 luxury condo residences, from floors 10 to 26. There will also be seven food and beverage concepts, an extensive spa and fitness center and a rooftop pool.

“Tampa is a dynamic city and this project will be a transformative reinvention of the entire downtown waterfront which will include various new hotel, retail, dining, workplace and residential offerings,” Ian Schrager, creative director of EDITION, tells Forbes. “The developers are committed to doing something really great and these residences will be a sophisticated new offering currently not available in Tampa. It will be Florida living in the sky!”

… The upscale property is being developed by the Tampa-based company Strategic Property Partners, LLC, a joint venture between financier Jeff Vinik and Bill Gates’ Cascade Investments. The building fits in beautifully with Tampa’s ever-growing skyline and was designed by world-renowned architect Morris Adjmi, with Nichols Brosch Wurst Wolfe & Associates (NBWW) as the Architect of Record for the project.
