JP Morgan doubles 1450 Brickell office space – TRD
Financial services giant JP Morgan Chase will double its space in Miami’s Brickell.
New York-based JPMorgan expanded its lease by 80,000 square feet to 160,000 square feet at the 1450 Brickell Avenue tower, according to the tenant’s news release and spokesperson. The expansion will take place over two years and will accommodate 400 employees, in addition to the 500 who already work at the tower.
The 34-story 1450 Brickell was completed in 2010 by Miami-based developer Rilea Group and Nichols Architects. It is owned by an entity led by Amkin Management and Ramon Llorens, records show.
Led by Jamie Dimon, JPMorgan is growing elsewhere in South Florida.
It leased 13,000 square feet at Steve Ross’ 20-story 360 Rosemary tower at 360 South Rosemary Avenue in downtown West Palm Beach, consolidating more than 60 JPMorgan staff members who were in offices across Palm Beach County, according to the release.
By early next year, JPMorgan will open three financial centers in former First Republic Bank offices in Palm Beach County, the release says. They will be at 241 Royal Palm Way in Palm Beach, 4506 PGA Boulevard in Palm Beach Gardens, and 300 South U.S. Highway 1 in Jupiter, the South Florida Business Journal reported. Last year, JPMorgan bought the majority of assets of failed First Republic Bank and assumed some of its liabilities.
