Big news for Miami Beach: the Fontainebleau Coastal Convention Center (FBCCC) has officially received its first Temporary Certificate of Occupancy (TCO)! Ready just in time for Miami Art Basel, the new addition brings state of the art meeting and event spaces to one of the most famous hotels in the world, infusing contemporary design on the Fontainebleau’s rich history.

Our design for the FBCCC takes inspiration from Morris Lapidus’ iconic bowtie pattern, giving it a sleek, contemporary update that fits right in with the hotel’s timeless charm. The result is a space that feels fresh but still true to the spirit of the Fontainebleau—a balance that is beautifully crafted in the property’s facade.

The FBCCC is another milestone in our long-standing relationship with this legendary property. Back in the early 2000s, Nichols Architects led the hotel’s largest expansion and renovation to date, and it’s an honor to once again be part of its evolution.

The Fontainebleau keeps raising the bar, and we’re excited to continue contributing to its story.
