Financial services giant JP Morgan Chase will double its space in Miami’s Brickell. New York-based JPMorgan expanded its lease by 80,000 square feet to 160,000 square feet at the 1450 Brickell Avenue tower, according to the tenant’s news release and spokesperson. The expansion will take place over two years and will accommodate 400 employees, in addition to the 500 who already work at the tower. After months of speculation, Apple is officially coming to Miami Worldcenter, the 27-acre megadevelopment in Downtown Miami, according to a leasehold agreement filed to Miami-Dade County. Construction of the one-story, stand-alone retail building at 725 NE First Avenue has been underway since November.
