The Consumer Electronics Show (CES) in Las Vegas kicks off thea year, showcasing new technologies and products from the world’s biggest tech brands. Highlights from this year include a walking concept car and a rollable television.
14–20 January 2019, Cologne, Germany
The first interiors and furnishing trade fair of the year features products by more than 1,200 suppliers from 50 countries.
Design TO (formerly Toronto Design Offsite)
18–27 January 2019, Toronto, Canada
Returning for its ninth year, the festival brings a host of designers and artists to the Canadian city, to turn it into a “hub for creativity”.
Interior Design Show Toronto
17–20 January 2019, Toronto, Canada
New and established designers exhibit and give talks at this Toronto design fair, where Lyndon Neri and Rossana Hu of design studio Neri&Hu are this year’s international guests of honour.
18–22 January 2019, Paris, France
The January edition of Maison&Objet – with the theme Excuse my French! – puts a focus on France’s contribution to the international design scene. There will also be a series of installations titled What’s New? and a showcase of emerging Chinese designers.
30–31 January 2019, London, UK
The two-day Architect@Work trade fair in London is aimed at architects, designers and specifiers. This year it will focus on the theme of Future-Proof, emphasising the importance of integrating sustainability into upcoming projects.
